About Us
Apollo Secure Transport has been established to provide a specialist secure transport solution to ‘significant transport delays’. We specialise in the safe transportation, care and management of patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007). We support individuals who have a range of mental health/ behavioural disorders, who require a higher level of security and supervision during their journey. Our transfer journeys are to and from hospitals, prisons, police stations, home addresses and court appearances. We aim to provide a reliable and rapid response to meet the needs of our service users. This is usually within 2 hours of receiving the initial referral.
Our Team
We pride ourselves on having some of the best staff in the Mental Health sector. Our team consists of Registered Mental Health Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Student paramedics and AMHP’S. Our staff are highly skilled and come from diverse backgrounds with a wealth of specialist knowledge and experience, enabling us to provide a reliable, safe and compassionate service. Our staff understand the unique needs of individuals with mental health conditions. They understand how to effectively communicate and de-escalate challenging situations. They are trained in crisis intervention and physical intervention techniques. They are trained to respond to emergency situations and ensure the well-being of patients in our care. All staff receive specialist mandatory and statutory NHS training and have enhanced Disclosure and Barring checks.
